BMW X3 F25 Headlamp (L) 63127217289 - Used Original Parts

Diagnosis and Common Symptoms

From a workshop perspective, F25 headlamp failures are common and present with distinct symptoms. The driver will typically see iDrive messages such as "Adaptive Headlight Malfunction" or "Headlamp vertical aim control failure." Physically, you may observe heavy condensation inside the lens, a flickering Xenon low beam (often a sign of a failing ballast or moisture intrusion), or one or both of the iconic angel eye rings being dim, yellowed, or completely out. Diagnostic scans using ISTA-D will often reveal fault codes stored in the FRM (Footwell Module) related to stepper motor controllers, short circuits in the LED modules, or communication errors with the control unit.
