Mercedes Benz W204 W212 C207 SLK R172 CGI 271 860 Engine Aircond Compressor A0022308511 - Used Original Parts

Diagnosis and Common Symptoms

The air conditioning compressor on the M271 CGI engine is a variable displacement unit that is under constant stress. Common mechanical failures include internal swash plate seizure or a failing electromagnetic control valve. Symptoms typically begin with intermittent cooling, followed by a total loss of cold air, especially when the vehicle is idling. You may notice a distinct grinding or rattling noise emanating from the front of the engine, which indicates bearing wear within the compressor pulley. If your diagnostic scanner shows fault codes related to the AC pressure sensor or the SAM (Signal Acquisition Module) indicating an open circuit at the compressor, it is time for a replacement.

Introduction

As a senior technician at M.S. Motor, I have observed that aftermarket units often fail to communicate correctly with the Mercedes-Benz climate control software. This Genuine Used compressor has been salvaged from a donor vehicle and subjected to a comprehensive bench test to ensure the internal seals and pistons maintain full compression. By opting for a tested original part, you ensure that the displacement control remains precise, protecting your evaporator from freezing and your engine from unnecessary drag.
